As I started my leadership journey, I started observing leaders around, I thought I had to keep up with the facade of executive detachment and soon realized this is not who I am.
I wanted to lead authentically, in a way that felt right to me.
I started asking myself
“How do I want to be seen with authenticity? What do I want people to know about me, what story I wanted them to hear even before I entered the room?”
Authenticity is one of my core values and the book “The Gift of Struggle by Bobby Herrera” resonates a lot with me. Highly recommend it.
I want to give more than I take and as a leader, give the opportunity to my team to contribute and be a part of something bigger than themselves.
If you are stumbling upon this question, consider reading this book “the Gift of Struggle” by Bobby Herrera.
